Tutorial: f(x) Luna - Red Light Inspired Tutorial

hi kpoppers!

I have an exciting tutorial for you guys!

Charmaine from {charrmyn} asked me if I'd like to do an impromptu makeup tutorial collab of f(x) Red Light MV with Emily from {emilymarysia}, Mindy from {mymychen} and April from {justsoapril} and I was like 'of course!' I haven't been keeping up to date with the kpop world in a long time. But when I saw other bbloggers making tutorials on f(x)'s Red Light MV, I just had to watch it. I fell in love with their makeup and entire concept of the MV! So great job SM Entertainment!!

I decided to do Luna's makeup for this collab. I was inspired by her intense teaser images that was released before the video came out.

Like seriously. Natural eye makeup on her right eye and an intense blue and black smokey eye on the left? Most, if not all of the members rocked a look like this in the MV. Luna is beauts and matches so well with her dark blue hair as well! So without further ado, let's get into the tutorial!

Face Tutorial:
Luna has a flawless face, obviously. So, creating the perfect canvas is a must.

Face Makeup {in order of use}:

1) Rimmel Stay Matte Primer
2) Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit
3) Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer
4) NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder
5) Kiko Make Up Milano - Sun Bronzing Blush in 100 Marine Coral
6) Benefit High Beam

The key to her face, is her smooth, white skin which can be achieved using BB cream and concealer, and her facial features defined by a bronzer and bronzy rosy blush. She didn't seem to have the regular blush on her cheeks, but rather blush in the hollow of her cheeks that helped define her overall facial features. So I focused on that for Luna's Face Makeup!

PLUS: Fill in your eyebrows as usual, following your natural brow shape.

ignore my eye...scary...

{PS...anyone want to teach me how to eyebrow? Because I suck. Full fringe bangs are amazing because I don't even have to worry about my eyebrows... ><}

Right Natural Eye Tutorial:

The right eye {or left eye if you choose}, is meant to be a sort of "No Makeup" Makeup eye. So, natural brown eyeshadows are a must.

Right Eye Makeup {in order of use}:

1) Lorac Pro Palette {using Cream}
2) Lorac Pro Palette {using Taupe}
3) Lorac Pro Palette {using Black}
4) Kanebo Kate Slim Gel Pencil Eyeliner
4) Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara

{Note: I have hooded monolid eyes, so please apply eyeshadow accordingly to your natural eye shape}

{I forgot to mention - tight line your eyes after step 3!}

The reason why I decided against using gel eyeliner or liquid eyeliner for this eye is because matte black eyeshadow is much more natural!

Left Smokey Eye Tutorial:

The left eye {or the right eye if you choose} is the main focus of Luna's look. It's a dark, smokey eye with a blue liner accent on the bottom lash line. I find this look to be both sexy and daring. ;) I've never wore dark eyeshadow like this before and after this tutorial, I'm totally up for experimenting! Her makeup look is actually pretty simple to execute.

Right Eye Makeup {in order of use}:

1) Lorac Pro Palette {using Black}
2) Lorac Pro Palette {using Espresso}
3) Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye Pencil in Aqua Blue
4) e.l.f.'s Little Black Beauty Book Volume II
5) L'Oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner
5) Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara

{Note: I have hooded monolid eyes, so please apply eyeshadow accordingly to your natural eye shape}

The things to mention about this eye is the two wings, one on the upper lash line and one on the bottom lash line. >< I'm still in the beginner stages on making wings, so I'm not an expert person to ask. However, following the natural cat eye for the upper lash line, and following the blue eyeliner you made in step 4, should help with the wings!

Blending is also a big key especially for Step 2! Using black eyeshadow, is an extreme pain since it only takes one bad swipe to end up with a {literal} black eye. So blend blend blend! {I apologize if my eye looks sort of black eye-ish as well. >< I'm still practicing!!} Monolids are so hard to work with :(

Lips Tutorial:

She had a sort of dark burgundy gradient lip in the MV and teaser images. Unfortunately...I did not bring any burgundy lip colors back home for the summer, so I settled with a pinky gradient lip~

I know...I apologize for the bad concealer and blending. >.<  But to make this:

1) Conceal your natural lip color using either lip concealer or the left over BB cream for your face.
2) Use a burgundy lipstick and/or lip tint only on the center of your lips.
3) Blend it out.
4) Optional: Use a lipgloss to give your lips more plump!

And we're done!
Time for some comparison photos!

Huehuehue!
I apologize for scarring you guys with my attempt at sexy OTL

I apologize if it doesn't look 100% similar...but it's an inspired look~ I wouldn't mind going out with this look. {Of course having the same eye look on both eyes...} I went a bit cray taking pictures...so enjoy some more of my vain self~ I tried to bring out my inner sexy kpop idol in me! LOL

I'll end with my favorite picture.

 My hair looks amaaaazing! <3
Gosh...I'm seriously so conceited. I need help.
^_^ But I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! And make sure to watch f(x) Red Light Music Video!!
{it's umm...amazing!}

Until next time,

PS: Do you guys like my new blog design? I still need to make a header and add a bunch of mini codings, but I really like it!

I'm also debating whether or not to CHANGE my blog url name. >< chocobunnii13 is sounding really...childish? to me lately, and I want to change it to something more...serious? If that makes sense. :) I know a lot of people know me as chocobunnii though...so I'm not too sure yet. What do you guys think?

Woah...I'm 19!

hey my sexy bunnies!
{this post will be very personal and very boring...just a heads up!}

I hope y'all are doing great~! I'm absolutely wonderful if you minus the fatigue, the hunger, and the discomfort of doing nothing and sitting in bed all day. :P

But if you guys can guess from the title of this post...ready for it?

I'M FINALLY 19 YEARS YOUNGGG!!

Yup! 19 years ago, I was born on the lovely summer day of July 13th.

19 to me...is such an awkward number and really an awkward age. You finally passed the big 18, but you still aren't old enough to be considered an "adult" adult. Yeesh...plus guys...this is the last year I'll ever be a teenager. Man...I'm getting old.

But anyway, happy birthday to me! //throws confetti

Today, I just really wanted to make blog post about my life so far. It's going to get personal and probably a lot boring, so you guys don't have to read it. This post is for myself. {But if you do read it...I hope you guys get something out of my life experiences. Or not...it's fine}

June 2014 Favorites~!

Yoooo!
lo.

Like I said in my last post, I'm here today to do my June Favorites for 2014

June has been a very good month for me. And I have a few items that I gravitated to a lot during the past month. I'm happy to say I have 7 products to show you guys! So let's just go straight into this post!

Skincare:

Cremorlab - Mineral Treatment Essence

I received this product awhile ago from my Memebox 4. If you guys didn't already know, Memebox is a korean beauty box subscription.  I won't go into how Memebox works since I stopped subscribing to them after 3 boxes >.<, however if you'd like to know more, just visit their website or read other beauty blogger reviews!

This essence claims to provide a boost of hydration to your skin, prep the skin for the rest of your skincare regimen, and is highly effective 5-in-1 solution for firming, and revitalizing skin. This past month, I used this Cremorlab 'essence' as my toner. After I wash my face in the morning, I put this on a cotton pad and put it all over my face. It definitely hydrates my skin and preps it for my bb cream and/or concealer I decide to use for the day. During the summer season, I hate using cream lotion >.< So I really love how this little liquid bottle can still hydrate my skin. It's light weight and although it's a bit sticky, it doesn't bother me. I think I would definitely repurchase this product, as I only have a sample product.

I'll do a major review later on this sumer! {hopefully}

Face:

e.l.f. - Translucent Matifying Powder

Oh man...how I love this little baby! One of the only products I've ever hit pan on. For the summer time, I usually only apply this under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, and all over my forehead. Basically all the places where I tend to be more oily. It works like magic and controls my oils for a good 5 hours. It's a lightweight powder. I love how it's translucent as well, so when I apply it, there is no color pay off. I just love it. And would definitely repurchase it when it's all empty!

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

So...it's summer guys. As my skin continues to get darker everyday...my face stays lighter than the rest of my body. =_=  I love using this bronzer because it makes my skin appear naturally bronzed and it defines my facial features quite nicely. Plus, it's not orange on my skin, it's cheap, and it'll last me a long time!

Kiko Make Up Milano - Sun Bronzing Blush in 100 Marine Coral
{I got this as a gift 2 years ago}

Wow...I haven't used this product in a long time. This was one of the first makeup items I reviewed on this site. The post is unfortunately down, as I lost all the pictures. {stupid google+}. But while packing away for college, I noticed this baby again, and I think it's a perfect shade for the Summer time! I mean...it even has 'sun' in it's name! I use the 3 shades separately. It's beautifully pigmented, and a little goes a long way with this 3-1 blush trio. It comes with a highlighter shade, a pretty pink shade, and a darker pinky bronze shade. It has a bit of soft glitter in all 3 of the shades, but it's not noticeable on the cheeks. I just absolutely love this blush during the summer! The only blush I gravitate to this season!

Eyes:

Koji Japan Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner in White/Champagne

So...I took a trip to Japan 2 years ago and I went pretty cray when purchasing Japanese products. I didn't have a blog then unfortunately, so I don't have much to review for you guys. :| But I rediscovered this little pencil. It's creamy, and provides the right amount of shimmer in the inner corner of my eyes for the summer. I like how natural it looks on my eyes.

I'll try and do a major review later on in the future. :)

BHCosmetics - Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette

I happen to really love baked eyeshadows...maybe even more than powdered ones! I just really love how you can use both a wet and a dry technique to apply these type of eyeshadows. For the summer, I've been using mainly the red and yellow shades in this palette. I find these shadows super pretty and I LOVE the shimmer each shadow gives off! I think it's perfect for summer~!

I'll definitely do a major review of this palette later on!

Lips:

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in 401 Aurora

Summer time to me equal bright, bold lips. These Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquers, definitely bring that. I...can't even express how pigmented this baby is! Aurora is a beautiful reddish-coral shade, and I absolutely love how it looks on my lips during the summer time! I think it's an eye catching color, yet not too out there where people would question you while walking the mall.

Woop woop! I am now done! I hope you all enjoyed my June Favorites of 2014!

But phew...I can't believe June is already over and we are moving straight ahead into July. (my birthday month!!) I'll try and do a June Favorites post, because I've been neglecting my Monthly Favorites for quite a while... >< {and my blog in general OTL}. But like I promised...months ago...I finally have my Born Pretty Store Haul!

I already did a Born Pretty Store introduction a while ago, but just to recap!

Trust me....once you go on that site...you'll want to buy something x3

I bought...quite a few things myself and I'm super excited to finally share it with you all!

Packaging and Shipment

I ordered my haul on April 8, 2014, and my payment was received that very day. They shipped out my items by April 15, 2014, so it took about a week for them to gather all my items together. (Of course...I did order a lot of products, so it was understandable.

My package came in about 4 weeks. I know this might be a bit long for some people, but the products were definitely worth the wait and they were pretty cheap.

My jewelry was packaged comfortably, while my 3 sets of eyelashes weren't. I didn't mind that though because everything came in and nothing was damaged.

So let's just get into what I ordered!

Items and Quality

Fake Eyelashes

Yes...I went a little overboard on these false lashes...but in my defense! ....I have nothing to say really. >.< I just wanted to try bottom lashes for the first time and there's nothing wrong in purchasing more natural top falsies! Huehuehue~

5 Pair - Seamless Bottom False Eyelash Natural Eye Makeup Fake Eye Lash #R-25
{Bought: $2.99 // Sells: $5.33}

100% Brand New
Material: Artificial Fibre
Quantity: 5 Pairs/Box
Length of Bottom Lash: 0.5cm
Color: Black

These are definitely eye catching. I haven't tested them out a lot, but I'm going to do a review of them when I get back to my University. :) I didn't bring them up with me to Hawaii, so poop... :( I wanted bottom falsies that'll give me a natural gyaru look! (I ADORE gyaru if you didn't know...but my monolids just aren't suited for the makeup style :\) I think these are great for it and I'm looking forward to changing up my look now and again with these babies!

5 Pairs/Box - Seamless Bottom False Eyelash Natural Fake Eye Lash #R-26
{Bought: $2.99 // Sells: $5.42}

100% Brand New
Material: Artificial Fibre
Quantity: 5 Pairs/Box
Length of Bottom Lash: 0.5cm
Color: Black

Along with my gyaru like bottom falsies, I had to get natural looking ones! These are SO pretty when I use them! Especially when I cut them in half. They seriously enhance my eye makeup and I just love how natural and lightweight they feel! I'll do a major review on them later on!

10 Pairs - Eyelash False Natural Cross Eyelashes Makeup #1046
{Bought: $5.91 // Sells: $6.65}

I actually bought these based off of Bella from {everythingaboutbella}'s Born Pretty Store review! I loved how natural the lashes looked on her eyes, so I thought why not just give it a try! I'm glad I did. :) They really do appear natural, and although I have hooded monolid eyes, They still show up pretty nicely. I'll do a major review later on in the year!

Phone Cases

I have no idea why...but I grew an obsession with phone cases. Cute phone cases that is! ^_^ I've been looking for new, cheap ones for awhile, and when I saw these 4 on Born Pretty Store, I just had to buy them!

{in order from left to right}

1) Pink Cartoon Pegasus Pattern in Hard Back Case {Bought: $.99 // Sells: $N/A}

When I saw this...I just had to have it! I mean look at the cute little pegasus! Who could resist?

Update// This case is pretty fragile. It broke on me when I was switching out another case...So right now, I'm quite sad. I don't however regret buying it, because it lasted me a good month. Plus it was less than a dollar!!

2) Classic Pictorial Pattern Hard Case Cover in #3 {Bought: $.99 // Sells: $2.12}

This is my current phone case right now as I'm typing up this blog post and I love the girlyness it brings to my life! It has a hard plastic surface and I don't know how you would describe the phone case's texture. It's like sort of rough when you brush your hand over it, but a smooth rough. >< I'm seriously bad at describing it, but I really like it! It's fun to touch and super di cooper cheap!!

3) Classic Pictorial Pattern Hard Case Cover in #7 {Bought: $.99 // Sells: $2.12}

Strawberry!! I just bought this design because I love strawberries~ ^^ It reminded me of summer actually, and when I get back to University, I'll do a Strawberry Nail Tutorial and pair it with my phone case! :D

4) Classic Pictorial Pattern Hard Case Cover in #8 {Bought: $.99 // Sells: $2.12}

This is actually my least favorite design. I actually...have no idea why I picked to buy this design but... oh well. I probably won't use it and might actually give it away to anyone who wants it back in my Uni. It was only a dollar though, so it's okay!

Jewelry

I bought a total of 9 pieces! I'm definitely not a jewelry wearer, however ever since I bought these, I've been wearing them more and more...so I would definitely consider buying Jewelry from Born Pretty Store again!

Update// NEVER and I repeat NEVER get them wet. They rust like craaaaazy! >.< {I still wear them anyway though... OTL}

Necklaces

{in order from left to right}

This is a really pretty vintage bow necklace. I thought the whole rusty look it gave off made it seem dirty and ugly...but after wearing it for a few times, I learned to love the grudge-y look it gave off. :) It reminds me of vintage wear and I've grown to really love it!

If you guys didn't know, the infinity symbol is my soul symbol. :P I love infinity anything!! I just think it's super romantic if a coughguycough gives you something with an infinity symbol, so when I saw it on Born Pretty, I had to get it!! It's super dainty and I loved the gold. I usually wear it when I need something around my neck. It's a casual necklace that can definitely match with any outfit!

I'm starting to really like dainty and small necklaces. So when I saw this, I knew I had to grab it. It's one of those necklaces, like the infinity one, that would match with any outfit!

Update// Unfortunately, this one didn't last too long. The chain broke on me within a week, and I was super sad to say the least. :/

4) 1pc - Sweet Fancy Letter Love Pearl Chain Pendant Necklace {Bought: $1.29 // Sells: $.99}

I have to say that this necklace is my favorite! Again, the vintage look it gives off is super pretty, and I love the pearl detail on the 'o' and the little dangling jewel on the 'e'. Plus I love anything that has the word 'love' on it~ So I'm quite happy with this necklace!

Rings

1) Retro Ring Roses Forefinger Ring, Material: Alloy, Size: about 16cm diameter, Color: White
{Bought//Sell: $.99}

I also love roses a lot, my favorite flower in the entire world being a pure white rose~ So seeing this ring made me want to buy it. The band fits nicely on my index and middle finger, and hangs a bit loose on my ring finger. I like the vintage design again, and I would definitely repurchase it in it's other two colors, black and red

2) 1pc - Delicate Simple Ring Heart Shape Design Adjustable RingMaterial: Alloy, Size: about 1.7 cm-Adjustable
{Bought: $.99 // Sell: $1.45}

Again, I have another dainty little piece! I love the little heart shape made of tiny little plastic crystals. I usually wear it when my fingers need a bit of bling!

Earrings

{in order from left to right}

1) Vintage Earrings Ear Stud Opal Metal Cute Rabbit Ear Design, Material: Alloy; Opal, Size: 1.3cm,  Color: Champagne
{Bought: $.99 // Sells: $1.29}

Of course...you all should know when I see something bunny like, I will definitely want to buy it. I thought these earrings were SO cute! And I love using studs. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how big they'd be so when I put them on, they look quite off on my small ears. :| Sigh...I probably won't be using these...so maybe I'll try and sell them if anyone wants. :)

{Bought: $.88 // Sells: $.99}

When I saw these, I thought they were adorable!! Black cat earrings? Heck yes! Again like the bunny earrings, they were a bit large for my ears. And they sort of felt heavy on my ears, making my ear sag a little. ;-; {I think this is a personal issue though...my holes on my ears were pierced too low poop}

3) Vintage Earrings Ear Stud Opal Metal Cute Rabbit Ear Design, Material: Alloy; Opal, Size: 1.3cm,  Color: Lite Pink
{Bought: $.99 // Sells: $1.29}

Again, like the Champagne colored one, I don't like them on my ears. I do love the Opal! But... >< just no... :(

PHEW!

I am finally done with my haul and mini reviews! :D

Overall, I rate all my purchases on Born Pretty Store a 95%! Everything I saw on the site, turned out to be exactly as pictured, and the quality of each item weren't that bad. I would definitely repurchase from Born Pretty Store again! I need to save my money right now though for my study abroad in Japannn {eeee!}

Again, if you want to purchase or just check out the items at Born Pretty,

You can use my coupon code, ANB10 for 10% off your next purchase at BornPrettyStore!
